Captain Pat Adams is a Memphis radio legend.   He's been on the radio for nearly 40 years. Captain Pat is an honest to goodness retired Memphis police Captain.  If you were to really beg him he might even tell you the time he arrested Elvis Presley. Captain Pat will also reluctantly tell you how the crime problem in Memphis could be eliminated by simply inserting a Cotton Mouth snake into a ladies purse.  While he was a police officer, Captain Pat was on duty the day Martin Luther King Jr. was killed.  Captain Pat has been guiding Memphians through traffic snarls and putting smiles on faces too. Though he's too modest Captain Pat could probably run against Mayor Willie Herenton and win.   If you were to get into a conversation with Captain Pat you may hear him exclaim "Dad Gum", which means, well I'll be darned.
