Jay and His Son Calvin's 1968 Camaro Restoration

When I was in high school I started working on cars. My first project was a 1949 Ford pick up truck.

Now that I'm having my mid-life crisis, I thought it would be fun for my son Calvin and I to work on a project together. We decided that a 60's muscle car would be fun to bring back to life. We found a 1968 SS Camaro that looked like it needed a lot of love. The following is a photo journal of our project.

Now that's a muscle car	You can almost see the cop behind it	Someone for got to vacuum
It could use some Armor-All	Make room for the 396	Time to tear in down
I was told there was a little rust	Even the hush pad is rusted	11 year old boys work hard

Out comes the headliner	I get to hold the screws	The tongue looks like it's in the right position
Now that the front clip is off...	Lets work on the rear	Tearing out the wiring
The pile of parts is growing	The trunk is rusty too!	That's some good bonding time
It looks pretty bad here too	Time to drag the car out to spray it down	If only we had a sand blaster

Getting rid of the spiders	Gotta get it clean	Just a little grinding
The sanding begins	Someone did a poor patch job	That whole floor has to go
Disconnecting the E brake	Removing the subframe from the body	Removing the sway bar
Looks like the trunks gotta go	Time to tear down the front end	Careful with the pressure washer
